Wisconsin Stormwater Week is a collaborative effort of organizations throughout the State working to raise awareness about the sources of water pollution. This week-long effort focuses on individual topics each day.

Monday: Stormwater 101

Learn about the basics of stormwater pollution, how it happens, where it comes from, and simple things you can do to prevent it.

Tuesday: Rain Collection

The best way to prevent stormwater from picking up pollutants and carrying it to local waterways is to prevent it from leaving in the first place! Learn about ways to properly slow the flow.

Thursday: Leaves

Trees are a good thing! However, leaves sitting on sidewalks and roadways can have unintended consequences. Learn how excess nutrients from leaves make their way to our shared waterways.

Wednesday: Lawn Care

Stormwater pollution is a complicated issue but we can do simple things at home to help keep our rivers and lakes clean.

Friday: Only Rain Down the Drain

Did you know that stormdrains pour directly into our rivers and lakes, untreated? This is why it is important to prevent pollution from reaching our sidewalks, driveways, streets, and parking lots.
